FGW are second worst train company in country
|
Commenting on a national passenger survey that names FGW as the second worst Train Operating Company in the UK local MP Theresa May said:
"It's no surprise that FGW have performed badly, but it's no comfort to see local problems reflected elsewhere in the country. We thought they were giving us a poor service, now we see the company is failing elsewhere too. "What's more the figures have got worse over the past year - that won't surprise local passengers who have suffered from such a bad service in recent months. Being placed second from the bottom in a national survey should be a wake up call to the management of FGW. "For too long passengers from Maidenhead and Twyford stations, and on the branch lines, have felt that their complaints and concerns have gone unanswered. Now FGW have been told just how fed up their passengers are, and I expect them to take action. "I will be meeting with them this week to discuss their proposals for the December 2007 timetable. I expect to see some significant improvements for Maidenhead, Twyford and the branch lines, especially in light of these results. "Passengers have given FGW their wake up call and now it's time for FGW to stop giving excuses and do something to improve their services." For more info on the survey, click this link 06/06/07 |
