Wilson Calls for Farepack Relief for Families
|
Rob Wilson, Member of Parliament for Reading East this morning met with Reading families who have been affected by the insolvency of Farepack. Rob met with six families from across the Reading area and pledged to raise their plight in Parliament.
The Administrators of Farepack, BDO Stoy Hayward, are based in Rob's Reading East constituency and he has requested a meeting with them. Rob has also added his name to an Early Day Motion calling for the government to match fund the monies raised by the Farepack Relief Fund. Rob said "I was touched by the effect that the collapse of Farepack is having on a number of local families. Due to the greed of directors and bankers, Farepack was forced into Administration with the cost borne by people who can least afford it. As is so often the case, children will bear the brunt of this corporate mismanagement. After the Asian Tsunami and the Pakistan Earthquake the government agreed to match fund contributions from the public, I am calling on the government to do the same for British families who have lost out through the collapse of Farepack." |
