Political Editor This site serves as a political platform for Members of Parliament and members of the public to voice their opinions about the issues of the day. There is also space here for MPs in Berkshire to let the public into their political world.

Each MP has a page where they can publish their latest news – what they are up to, what debates they have entered into recently, what issues they are currently exploring, and how successful they have been at achieving their goals.

In each particpating MP's space (follow the links on the left), you will find all their press releases, which let you know what each of them are up to.

Our Latest News link on the left offers a balanced perspective on the politics going on in this region of the UK, and our Comment section features opinion pieces about some of the most topical issues of the day.

We have also included a public forum, which allows you to voice your own opinions about any of the topics on this site and any of the political issues that you feel strongly about.

In addition, we will be running Question of the Week - a general, topical question that will be responded to by all the MPs involved with us. This will generate much needed debate about some of the most important issues of our time. It will also allow you to join in the discussion via the forum, offering you a platform on which to connect with your MP and voice your concerns.

At PoliticalEditor.co.uk, you can keep tabs on what your MP is up to through one of the most democratic mediums of our time - the internet.

Our sister site will be undergoing a transformation shortly. It will focus solely on the upcoming General Election: http://businessinberkshire.co.uk/generalelection

Cameron's Christmas message to UK businesses
Britain's businesses need urgent action When the financial crisis happened, I made it clear that the Conservative Party was ready to put aside party differences to help bring stability. That's why we supported the recapitalisation of our banks. I also said that we would not suspend our critical faculties over this Government's calamitous economic policy decisions - decisions that helped not only cause this crisis by encouraging government and personal debt to spiral out of control, but could also make the recession deeper and last longer.
