Datchet Keep Trade Local Day
Saturday 12th September 10am - 1pm on the Village Green Datchet Keep Trade Local Day, held with the support of the Federation of Small Businesses, will be able to answer these questions and more. From 10am onwards, on Saturday 12th September the Village Green will be transformed into a market where local businesses will be promoting themselves to you, the residents of Datchet. Datchet Keep Trade Local Day will be officially opened by our member of parliament, Mr. Adam Afriyie and the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr Jesse Grey. • Enjoy a cup of tea and some wonderful homemade cakes provided by the Bridge. • If you prefer something more exotic why not try some freshly cooked spicy Indian food prepared by one of the Indian restaurants from the village. • Perhaps you might like to sample some beer and wine from the village pubs and off licence? • Come and see the newly refurbished restaurant at the Manor Hotel and while you are there why not book a table? • Did you know that the Post Office sells more than stamps? Come and discover the huge range of services it provides, you can even get your foreign currency! This day will only be a success if people like YOU get involved. Datchet Keep Trade Local Day seeks to bring the entire village together in support of OUR local businesses. Too many businesses in Datchet have closed lately, let's make this day a success and help ensure that no more businesses in the village have to close. Cllr. Jesse Grey said, "Small businesses are not just part of the local community, they are the local community. They generate wealth, employment and opportunity. Here in Datchet over the last few months we have seen a number of businesses close and this worries me. Along with Cllr. Gary Muir and the Datchet Parish Council we have teamed up with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to help businesses in Datchet through these difficult times. In particular we want to encourage all Datchet residents to think local first whenever they can." For further information please contact Richard Myslop Tel. 07525 800 409 |
