Mark Ashwell is making youth vote "standard"
Mark Ashwell, Independent candidate for Wokingham and West Berkshire knows he has a fight on his hands with incumbent John Redwood. The Conservatives have a 7,240 majority from the last election with 22,174 votes (48%). The Lib Dems got just short of 15,000 and the Labour around 7,000. The nearest independent didn’t quite make the 1,000 mark. It’s a massive job but Mark Ashwell will get the popular vote ... it is simply a job of making sure everyone in Wokingham and West Berkshire has heard of him … so please help spread the word and ask people “What do you know about the Independent candidate Mark Ashwell?” If they have any real interest they’ll visit Google and find out more. Mark is out to set the standard for politics in Wokingham and knows he needs the youth vote to be significant in this election to give him a fighting chance. The other night I discovered that the word "standard" is used by the kids to mean cool ... I translated this in my 44 year old way to mean people who are "standard" are "setting the standard" ... that'll be Mark Ashwell then. Mark has a good team of people on hand to help him and when I suggested he needed a launch video that was fun to grab the attention he pointed me in the direction of his Pop video “Mr Speaker and the Peachettes" He’d also been interviewed by a local youth celebrity, Nicholas Caradoc Hoult who is an actor, best known for the role as Marcus Brewer in the 2002 film, About a Boy, and as Tony Stonem in the E4 television series, Skins. This guy means business and it would be great to see the youth vote get behind him and give the top three parties a run for their money … go get ‘em Mark Mark Ashwell is sooooo obviously "standard" !! |
