Lib Dems overtaking Tories for Facebook fans

I started writing this article 90 mins ago and let's say 50 mins in I took a look at how many fans each party had ... and the lib dems were only 98 fans behind the conservatives ...

I checked the same a 30 minutes ago and they were 69 fans behind ... now 89 fans behind ... have the Tories spotted the move and gone on a campaign or is this just the natural rhythm of politics? Nature ... nothing happening on Facebook ... except me giving a helping hand!!

This means that the lib dems could realistically over take the conservatives for Facebook fans by mid day on 1st May 2010 !! ... if they pull their collective fingers out and get their pals to join in!

How's that for White Rabbits !!

Two weeks ago we ran a story which took a look at the number of Facebook followers each party had. Check out how the numbers have grown over the last 2 weeks for all the parties ...

lib dem 31,368 : 75,754 = growth of 44,386
conservatives 47,368 : 75,856 = 28,488
labour 23,327 : 33,562 = 10,235
bnp 14,000 : 21,357 = 7,357
green 7,478 : 9,318 = 1,840
ukip 738 : 1,753 = 1,015

The Liberal Democrats only need another 69 pals and they’ve over taken the conservatives, growing at more than 1000 new fans a day more than the conservatives.

BNP are generating 4x as many fans as The Greens and UKIP haven’t even got to the party yet. Most are pushing out a few pics and words but VIDEO rocks ...

The door has been wide open for Independent candidates to send us stuff and we'll publish on their behalf but they haven't bothered.

Only my new pal Abby has joined in and guess what, he's an Independent from the commonwealth ... that's probably why he has his eyes open to the opportunity.

Times they are a changing ... I believe Nick Clegg in the video below ... excellent work ... I also have to acknowledge the energy the BNP are putting in to social media which could well see them land a few seats ... see what you think ...

Don't let anyone tell you it can't be different

The Liberal Democrats Party Election Broadcast. This is your election, and with one week to go until polling day Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats discusses the opportunity we have to change politics for good - "Don't let anyone tell you that it can't be different this time, it can". ...

The British National Party — Blog — Nick Griffin Speaks to CNN

The British National Party is the only party which opposes mass immigration and surrender to the European Union. Unlike the other parties, we mean it when we say it. The BNP has a range of sensible policies covering every aspect of British society.
